SRE.ai Secures $7.2M to Advance AI-Powered DevOps Automation

SRE.ai Raises $7.2 Million to Transform DevOps with AI Agents
SRE.ai, a recent graduate of Y Combinator, has emerged from stealth mode with a $7.2 million seed investment led by Salesforce Ventures and Crane Venture Partners. The company is on a mission to simplify and automate complex enterprise DevOps workflows using natural language AI agents.
Addressing DevOps Pain Points with AI
Founded by Edward Aryee and Raj Kadiyala, both former engineers at Google Research and DeepMind, SRE.ai was born from their firsthand experience with the challenges of infrastructure tooling. While at Google, they noticed a significant gap between the advanced tools available internally and the tedious manual processes their peers faced elsewhere—especially tasks like resolving metadata conflicts.
"The next generation of DevOps experiences needed to be created," Aryee reflected on the motivation behind launching SRE.ai.
How SRE.ai Works
SRE.ai provides AI-driven agents that streamline workflows such as continuous integration, testing, and deployment. Unlike other solutions that require patching together various low-code platforms, SRE.ai offers a unified, chat-like experience that works seamlessly across major cloud providers—including AWS, GCP, Azure—and enterprise applications like Salesforce and ServiceNow.
- Easy Onboarding: SRE.ai connects automatically with a company’s existing integrations.
- Customizable Workflows: Teams can tailor release pipelines, dashboards, and monitoring tools to their specific needs.
- Proactive Issue Detection: The system continuously monitors for issues such as security risks, providing actionable recommendations to resolve them.
This approach frees up IT teams to focus on higher-value projects rather than repetitive, manual tasks.
Standing Out in a Crowded Market
SRE.ai competes with established players like Copado, Gersetm, and Flosum. However, CEO Raj Kadiyala points out that SRE.ai’s unique strength lies in its ability to operate across multiple platforms, making it especially attractive to enterprises with diverse cloud and software environments.
Rapid Growth and Future Plans
The company participated in Y Combinator’s Fall 2024 cohort, which helped them connect with their lead investors. Their recent funding round was described as “high conviction” and oversubscribed, signaling strong market interest. The fresh capital will be used to expand the team, particularly with AI engineers and Salesforce specialists, and to introduce new features to the platform.
"We’re seeing a lot of early traction and are excited about building out our team to support new customers and extend the platform," said Kadiyala.
What This Means for Businesses
As enterprises increasingly seek to automate and optimize their DevOps operations, solutions like SRE.ai are poised to play a critical role. By leveraging AI agents for routine and complex tasks, businesses can accelerate releases, reduce errors, and unlock more time for innovation.
