Google Unveils Second AI American Infrastructure Academy Cohort

Google Welcomes New Cohort to AI American Infrastructure Academy

Google has announced the second group of startups joining its AI American Infrastructure Academy—a program dedicated to supporting early-stage companies that leverage artificial intelligence to address critical areas like cybersecurity, education, and transportation. This initiative aims to foster innovation among startups at the seed to Series A stage, providing them with resources, mentorship, and training to accelerate their growth.

About the Academy

The AI Academy is a four-month, primarily virtual program offering equity-free support. Selected founders receive leadership coaching, sales training, and access to a network of industry experts. While most activities occur online, participants will gather for an in-person summit at Google later in the program.

To qualify, applicants needed at least six months of runway and evidence of traction. The selection process was competitive, and applications were open from late April to mid-May 2025.

Track Record and Alumni Success

Google’s AI American Infrastructure Academy has a strong history of identifying promising AI startups. Notable alumni from the first cohort include:

  • Cloverleaf AI, a government contractor company that subsequently raised $2.8 million in seed funding.
  • Zordi, an autonomous agtech firm backed by $20 million from Khlosa Ventures.
